AP Motion holds non-competitive, technique based dance classes in Flemington, NJ. Joanna Andriopoulos-Holusha, director, believes that dance can be fun and inspiring while instilling core concepts of body awareness, alignment, respect, positive self image and discipline.
AP Motion offers the prestigious American Ballet Theatre curriculum to all Ballet students. Internationally recognized, this curriculum helps to achieve the precision that is required in professional dancers, while fostering a love of movement, musicality and creativity. Students who study the ABT Curriculum have the option to attend examinations, held at AP Motion, for international recognition and certification.
AP Motion is the only facility in the area that offers
this opportunity for certification.
Students who train at AP Motion will gain strength, endurance, flexibility and creativity. In addition to an understanding of dance vocabulary and technique, students learn the concepts of dance improvisation and choreography and are encouraged to find their own movement voice.
Students will also have the opportunity to perform in an annual presentation at the end of the session in June, where they will showcase their accomplishments.
